ARPANET which stood for Advanced Research Projects Agency Network was a large wide-area netwrok. It was the basis to the Internet that we have today. ARPANET started in August 1962 and the first message sent was lo before the system crashed. When the system was back up and running, the message was resent and this time it got sent fully.
